Atlanta Technical College is currently seeking highly qualified candidates to apply for the Manager of Institutional Advancement position in the Division of Institutional Advancement. This position will be located at Atlanta Technical College's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the general direction of the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Manager of Institutional Advancement will develop and implement the annual fund strategies and programs that include the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of annual gifts from Trustees, Directors, advisory board members, community friends, businesses and alumni. These solicitations include personal requests, telemarketing, and direct mail. The Manager of Institutional Advancement will possess a convincing track record of developing and implementing an effective, comprehensive annual fund program and volunteer fundraising program for the purpose of helping the institution realize its long-term financial goals. The Manager of Institutional Advancement wi ll also be responsible for overseeing the CRM, keeping constituent records updated with all contact information and charitable giving to the institution as well as analyzing data to improve engagement, increase financial giving, and manage campaign s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Plan, develop and implement a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines and evaluation plan for the Annual Fund program that includes identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of constituents.
+ Create and administer a program and activities to solicit gifts from Trustees, Directors, advisory board members, community friends, businesses and alumni including personal requests, telemarketing, and mail programs for the Annual Fund.
+ Work closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement and other departmental directors to ensure coordination with their respective fundraising efforts.
+ Use donor database and report writing software to retrieve data.
+ Perform comprehensive analysis and manipulation related to all aspects of the annual fund program; use statistics to evaluate current Annual Fund Programs and make recommendations for program changes.
+ Assist the office team in developing computerized systems and records that provide proper documentation and tracking of annual fund operations.
+ Ensure open communication with other staff regarding contact of potential donors.
+ Responsible for writing and evaluating the Annual Fund Program and reporting of program's progress to Board of Trustees and college.
+ Oversee the acknowledgement and recognition of all annual fund gifts, including the annual reports to donors.
+ Represent annual fund issues and promote community awareness and support for the annual fund program.
+ Maintain the constituent management system for all assigned accounts ensuring that goal setting, stewardship and reporting requirements are met.
+ Sustain successful partnerships via thorough, detailed solicitation records.
+ Maintain a rigorous schedule of contacts with corporations and individuals, creating moves and management plans related to them.
+ Routinely attend special events and actively promote program activities.
+ Plan and organize special events and functions in support of resource development initiatives.
+ Perform administrative duties as required.
+ Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
+ Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
+ Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing contacts with colleagues, attending professional development training and attending training.
+ Compile and report on metrics on an annual basis to assess the performance of the annual fund drive and establish personnel metrics.
+ Ensure consistent high quality service delivery to all levels of customers and co-workers.
+ Oversee the continuous improvement of the annual fund appeal and the development of the team with the goal of achieving the best practices and optimal output.
+ Assure donor confidentiality as well as the confidentiality of the projects undertaken by conducting all personal contacts and communications with donors in a professional manner.
+ Facilitate good donor relations by representing the college at functions and meetings as assigned, and working with donors and potential donors, students, friends, alumni and various constituencies of the college to strengthen their ties to Atlanta Technical College.
+ Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact department initiatives.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of the Atlanta Technical College.
Minimum Qualifications :
Qualified candidates must possess and demonstrate two (2) or more of the following minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree AND three (3) years of related experience.
• Three (3) or more years of demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated track record of three (3) or more years of cultivation, closing gifts and understanding of donor stewardship success.
• Three (3) or more years of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Demonstrated flexibility in a high-paced environment in response to process changes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects.
• Current knowledge of Fundraising principles and practices utilizing all outlets of media resources as it relates to higher education.
• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing an effective, comprehensive annual fund program or volunteer fundraising management.
• Demonstrated strong collaborative, energetic and seasoned fundraising skills.
