Epsilon Systems Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Motor Repair Technician II in National City, CA.
Job Summary: Repair various types of AC and DC Motors and Pumps.
Duties:
+ Inspect all types of motors electrically and dimensionally with Supervision
+ Complete a motor repair in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item 009-17 with Supervision.
+ Perform incoming and outbound testing including visual inspection, meg ohm, surge test, rotor testing, etc.
+ Remove and install varnish without Supervision.
+ Maintain and operate bake and burn out ovens without Supervision.
+ Disassemble, clean, inspect and troubleshoot AC and DC electric motors and pumps.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnosis repairs that need to be made, and identify the parts required for the repair.
+ Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
+ Operate specialized repair and testing equipment.
+ Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
+ Maintain a clean and free of debris work station and area.
Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 2-4 years related experience.
+ A basic mechanical aptitude.
+ A general understanding of electric motor troubleshooting.
+ A general understanding of electrical measurements in electric motors.
+ A general understanding of the effects of overheated bearings and insulation.
+ A general understanding of insulation resistance.
+ Able to understand, perform and retain various skill related training and operational and safety procedures demonstrated by supervisor.
Pay Range
The pay range for this is $21.00 to $30.00 per hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.
ADA Notations:
+ Able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
+ Work in industrial environment.
+ Walk, stand, bend, have dexterity as well as have visual skills in order to assess work requirements and/or command moves as required to complete assigned tasks.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formats in the English language.
+ May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, gloves and steel-toe boots.
+ Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud noise.
