JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer provides the necessary link between customer requirements and manufacturing processes. Develops and improves manufacturing methods, applies concepts and techniques to optimize processes.
REPORTING TO
Engineering Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Creates engineering masters for jobs to be manufactured in ERP system.
+ Creates work orders from engineering masters for manufacturing.
+ Creates Solid Works drawings (shop drawings, customer drawings) as needed.
+ Assists in the continuous improvement process throughout manufacturing using lean techniques.
+ Troubleshoots manufacturing issues to resolve production and work in process problems while optimizing efficiency and eliminating downtime.
+ Evaluates process flow and plant layout, recommending and implementing improvements and modifications in sequence of operations and equipment utilization to improve throughput, reduce labor and manufacturing costs.
+ Creates and designs tooling and fixturing as needed.
+ Commissions new equipment as needed.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
+ Proficient to excellent skills working in Solid Works, Windows OS & Microsoft Office Suite
+ Must be organized and have excellent prioritization skills
+ Excellent communication skills to work with different departments within the organization
+ Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, & work well in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong analytical skills and material knowledge
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering recommended.
+ A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in metal working.
+ Strong technical and analytical ability.
+ Project management and organizational skills preferred.
+ Machining and programming knowledge a plus
