The team you will be a part of
The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.
This role in summary
This Conversion Manager position reports to the Supply and Fulfillment group of Integrated Supply Chain, which represents the Voice of the Customer and Whirlpool through collaboration and shared accountability while focusing on strategic objectives that maximize order conversion and drive end-to-end business results. This position is responsible for managing and supporting the fulfillment of the Whirlpool Customer portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include
+ Work with a broad cross-functional team (Sales, Sales Ops, Planning, Logistics, Order Management, Global Information Technology, etc..) to implement key customer strategic projects and continuously improve our existing processes with a strong emphasis on maximizing order-to-shipment conversion.
+ Manage/oversee all aspects of implementing process changes, including design, development, testing, education, change management, and auditing of results.
+ Involved in segment strategy work, accountable for enabling growth and expanding margins
+ Lead and drive a lean and consistent process. Optimize and embed recommended changes through a continuous improvement mindset.
+ Measure and monitor critical Key Performance Indicators (KPI) process steps and the voice of the Customer. Define and monitor critical performance metrics weekly/monthly to identify opportunities for improvement/corrective actions.
+ Drive process decisions and alignment across all functions – make decisions when consensus cannot be achieved.
+ Challenge and recommend policy decisions as needed -- lead up!
+ Prioritize work to focus on the areas that will drive the greatest enterprise-wide business benefit –balance caring for the Customer with caring for the Company.
Minimum requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Order Management, or Sales Operations
+ 1+ years of experience in Lean or Continuous Improvement
Preferred skills and experiences
+ Master’s Degree
+ Experience with Operational Excellence (OPEX) or Six Sigma, Black Belt
+ Project Manager or Change Management
+ Excellent communication skills and experience working with Cross-Functional Teams
