As a Sr Project Manager, you are responsible for managing a high risk, high complexity project with multiple deliverables. Although higher complexity and dollar value there is no Earned Value requirements. From design to release for customers, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery and program closeout. You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; identify needed resources for projects; and interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: proposal development, planning, scope, definition, design, execution, delivery, and program closeout. You will track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to stakeholders. The Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent. It is likely you will have direct reports or a larger support staff to orchestrate execution.

    **Responsibilities** ​

    + Cost, Schedule and Customer Relationship considerations are of higher risk to the company. You will supervise the work of program and project staff and be responsible for add-on work and proposal tasks from first customer interaction, defining requirements, basis of estimates, negotiation and contract award. You will participate in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other corporate entities and responsible to formulate a team that can fulfill program requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved; and for program risk management and ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed. You'll be responsible for conducting routine meetings, interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints. You'll support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling their responsibilities for the Business Area.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

    + Typically 6+ years of progressive experience in project management roles and/or in related or technical fields

    + Proficient in leading a team of at least 5 either directly or indirectly.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

    + Demonstrated experience in managing a highly complex project and its various parts; proposal development, contract negotiation, resource management, engineering development, operations and production, test through delivery and contract closeout.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    + Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules

    + Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    + One of the following:• Minimum of six years of direct P-3 and/or DHC-8 experience (P-3 and DHC-8 experienced may be combined);• Minimum of six years DOD multi engine aircraft experience;• Minimum of six years commercial multi engine aircraft experience; or• Minimum of eight years aviation experience.

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field

    + Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management

    + Ability to obtain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Background Investigation ([BI] TS Equivalent)

    + Typically 3+ years leading medium scale project scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross functional team members

    + Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.

    + Experience with managing a complex project or larger program.

    + Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.

    + Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.

    + Requires ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program, i.e., Program integration management. Perform task coordination, resource development, stakeholder identification, etc. Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources.

    + Requires ability to identify, assess, and control financial, technical, and legal risks.

    + Proficient leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews

    + Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations

    + An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

    + Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management

    + Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution

    + Experience in resource planning and management during project execution

    + Experience with risk management planning and documentation

    + Knowledge of Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing principles

    + Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & CMMI process standards

    + Familiarity with government contracting and regulations

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

    + Experience working with and/or managing Contractor Logistics Support efforts and/or working with P-3’s

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (will not be considered in lieu of required experience)

    + Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field (may be considered in lieu of 1 year of required project/program management experience)

    + Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)

    + Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)

    + Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile and or spiral development models

    + Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management

    + Understanding with application tools and data architectures

    + Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM tools.

    + Ability to participate in PM process & tool improvement initiatives for the Business Area.

    + Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls.

    + Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff

    + Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution

    + Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes

     

    Estimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 - $171,560.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

     

    SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
