Description:
Full-Time Credentialing Team Lead position, that is an integral part of the credentialing team, and is responsible for following credentialing policies and procedures; maintain an accurate physician data base; collecting data; and participating in development and implementation of changes to the medical staff processes.

What a Credentialing Team Lead will do:
+ Serves as Lead Coordinator providing guidance and support for Medical Staff Services
+ Provides support to Medical Staff and administrative leadership, general medical staff, and committees, pertaining to appointments, compliance, bylaws, rules, and regulations.
+ Responsible for consistent application, effectiveness, and accountability for medical staff programs and staff
+ Provides input into hiring decisions, as well as colleague performance planning and reviews
What a Credentialing Team Lead will need:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Legal, Business or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
+ Two years physician/APP credentialing experience or previous experience in a Medical Staff Services Department
+ Extensive knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and Michigan Regulations and standards as they relate to Medical Staff functions
Please note that position requires 20% of time to be spent on site for meetings, in the Muskegon area.
