Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Research has an exciting opportunity for a full time Post Doctoral Associate position. The incumbent performs scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff. Moreover, the Post Doctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.

CORE JOB SUMMARY

+ Conducts research on specific areas of study as assigned.

+ Prepares research reports and technical papers for publishing.

+ Investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories.

+ Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.

+ Develops advanced analytical models and systems and provides solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.

+ Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Department Specific Functions

Research and Experimentation:

+ Design and execute experiments using mouse models of immune dysregulation and malignant hematopoiesis.

+ Conduct drug screening, flow cytometry, microscopy, CRISPR screening, and work with human cell line models.

+ Analyze and interpret experimental data to drive meaningful scientific outcomes.

• Scientific Contributions:

+ Contribute to basic and applied research activities within the lab’s focus areas.

+ Prepare and publish high-quality scientific manuscripts, progress reports, and grant applications.

+ Stay updated with emerging literature and methodologies in the field.

• Collaboration and Teamwork:

+ Collaborate with lab members and staff on joint projects, fostering a team-oriented research environment.

+ Serve as a point of contact for interdisciplinary projects and external partnerships as needed.

• Mentorship and Supervision:

+ Supervise and instruct junior researchers, including undergraduate and graduate students, on research techniques and project design.

+ Provide guidance and training to ensure adherence to laboratory protocols and safety standards.
