Description
We are searching for a Financial Project Manager to join our team based in Charlotte. In this role, you will be responsible for leading various strategic initiatives and change management processes within the realm of financial crimes. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Role is onsite in Charlotte 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Lead cross-functional teams on projects, identifying root causes, system issues, process gaps, and opportunities along with providing viable solutions.
• Conduct research and gather data to ensure current and relevant information is available for decision-making and reporting.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring each project's data elements are up-to-date and accurately reflect the project's status.
• Facilitate meetings with leadership to inform progress and/or gain consensus on next steps for assigned portfolio or initiative activities.
• Collaborate effectively with partners, facilitating and influencing to yield substantive and relevant descriptions and other critical information needs.
• Develop solutions and recommendations that will increase efficiency and improve business processes, projects, and programs.
• Create and deliver storyboards (e.g., process flows/connections, data-driven insights) and management presentations.
• Drive a continuous process improvement team environment, prioritizing and influencing to achieve desired business results.
• Provide effective consultation to all levels of management, using the latest industry-standard processes and internal resources.
Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Financial Crime and Financial Crime Compliance
• Proficiency in Program Management and Cross Functional Project Management
• Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management methodologies, preferably Agile
• Capability to design efficient financial processes
• Skilled in creating and maintaining status reports
• Excellent skills in Data Gathering and analysis
• Proven ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation
• Willingness to continue learning and improving
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity
• Detail oriented certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, is preferred
• Knowledge of the financial industry's current trends and developments
• Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Experience in risk management and compliance
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
