Description We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team in New York, New York. This role involves supporting attorneys with a wide range of responsibilities, including legal research, document preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring cases are handled efficiently and effectively, from inception to resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare legal documents such as discovery requests, responses, notices, and deposition summaries.

• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, case law, and other legal resources to support case strategies.

• Manage all phases of litigation, including tracking case progress and coordinating necessary documentation.

• Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and opposing counsel to gather information and provide updates.

• Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic, using e-discovery tools and legal databases.

• Prepare for mediations, arbitrations, and trials by compiling exhibits, drafting damages brochures, and creating case presentations.

• Request and obtain records from various organizations, such as the Social Security Administration and Federal Aviation Administration.

• File pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents electronically in both state and federal courts.

• Coordinate meetings, interviews, and other client-related activities to maintain strong relationships.

• Utilize software tools like Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw for case management and workflow optimization. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of recent experience in personal injury litigation, preferably on the plaintiff side.

• Strong knowledge of state and federal court systems, including local rules and filing procedures.

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and familiarity with e-discovery platforms.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

• Experience handling wrongful death cases and managing personal injury claims from start to finish.
