• System Administrator (security clearance required)

    Blacklynx, a Jacobs company, is seeking a talented and motivated cleared System Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a professional IT System Administrator this person will successfully support and maintain a stable IT infrastructure for multiple SCIF and commercial environments. Additionally, this employee will provide support on telecommunications circuits, networking equipment, servers, AD enterprise applications and desktop support. This role will be responsible for ensuring secure and stable operation of systems, seamless flow of information and proper functioning of endpoints throughout the organization’s operations, as well as working as part of a cohesive team triaging of IT related issues, maintaining compliance and deploying new systems.

    Responsibilities:

    * Contribute to the daily operations, assisting with the triaging of all IT related issues as it pertains to commercial and secure area support.

    * Assist in the processing of all assigned tickets and queues wherein you are responsible for monitoring and oversight.

    * Resolve, contribute and provide prescriptive solutions to IT needs and support requests.

    * Actively participate in the implementation of hardware and software; build, upgrade, patch and migration of network utilities, servers, systems and applications.

    * Monitor and schedule maintenance and backups of server infrastructure, virtual and bare metal, within the SCIF.

    * Participating and planning in customer surge support efforts.

    * Maintain accurate hardware asset inventory, ensure system development lifecycle requirements are observed and are reported in alignment with customer and security operational requirements.

    * 5+ years of relevant experience

    * BS degree in a computer, engineering or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, and/or seven (7) years of relevant work experience

    * Experience with Microsoft Windows/Server, including administration, hardening and maintenance

    * Experience with virtualization

     

    Security Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * Industry certifications that support IT Management like: MCSE, CISSP, CompTIA A+, Network +, Security * Experience with Linux including administration, hardening and maintenance
