    Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University in Ames, IA is now accepting applications for a part-time term faculty (initial rank can be modified based on experience and qualifications) to teach at the undergraduate level within the Marketing Department. The initial contract period is for one year. However, the possibility of renewal for multiple years in the future is very likely and is dependent on performance.

     

    The primary responsibility is to teach sales and/or marketing classes. Courses to be taught include but are not limited to: Foundation of Sales and Sales Management classes. The Department of Marketing houses a robust Professional sales Certificate program that is open to all the majors at Iowa State. The coursework is designed to incorporate experiential learning opportunities for our students with notably company partners at Ivy Sales Forum. Therefore, additional responsibilities include: participating in the marketing department and sales program’s service activities, advising undergraduate students, interacting with industry partners, and organizing/traveling with students to sales competitions around the country. The successful candidate will be able to deliver course materials through a number of delivery modes (online, hybrid, in-person).

     

    The position will start in Fall 2025.

    Required Minimum Qualifications:

    - Master’s degree in Business, or a Master’s degree in a related field

     

    - Professional Sales experience (minimum of 5 years)- Must meet the college’s faculty qualification standards for AACSB Accreditation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    - Experience teaching university level sales, marketing or related courses (either full course or guest lectures)- Professional sales or sales management experience of 10 years or more
