The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the landscaping maintenance and upkeep of Keesler AFB grounds.

Responsibilities

+ Use zero-turn riding mowers to cut grass

+ Use weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance finishing work

+ Use chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees

+ Care for flower beds, shrubs, and trees

+ Perform general grounds policing for leaves, litter, and other clean up

+ Perform other related grounds upkeep duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ Two years of related work experience

+ Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade

+ Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade

+ Possess a valid Mississippi Driver’s License

+ Ability to obtain a position of public trust

Desired Qualifications:

+ Experience performing similar work on a military base
