    Job Skills / Requirements

     

    Sunstates Security is hiring an Office 365 Cloud Administrator for our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC. The Office 365 Cloud Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of the organization’s Microsoft 365 environment, supporting approximately 350 users. This includes services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related security and compliance features.

     

    The role provides Tier 2/3 support for end users, resolves escalated service tickets, and contributes to the ongoing stability, availability, and security of Microsoft 365 services. The administrator will also assist with laptop and mobile phone deployment and provisioning as needed. Additionally, this role serves as the primary point of contact for coordination and technical collaboration with the company’s Managed Services Provider (MSP) to troubleshoot issues.

     

    This is a fully in-office role in Raleigh NC - NOT remote or hybrid.

     

    This position offers a salary $80,000 per year - Plus an annual performance-based bonus along with industry-leading employee benefits that include weekly pay, a 401k savings plan with a company match, full medical, dental & vision insurance benefits, generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, and more!

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Provide second and third-level support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

    + Document all incidents and resolutions in the Help Desk ticketing system.

    + Manage user identities, groups, licenses, and roles in Microsoft 365 and Entra.

    + Administer core Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.

    + Configure and maintain security features such as MFA, Conditional Access, and DLP policies.

    + Monitor Microsoft 365 service health and respond to incidents, alerts, and performance issues.

    + Resolve escalated technical issues and service requests.

    + Support Microsoft Intune and mobile device management policies.

    + Collaborate with MSP to ensure Microsoft 365 environment meets security and regulatory standards.

    + Serve as the main point of contact with MSP, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and collaboration on projects or escalations.

    + Serve as backup for laptop deployment, including device imaging, configuration, and setup.

    + Serve as backup for managing the MaaS360 MDM platform, including enrolling and configuring mobile devices within the MDM environment.

    + Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and support guides.

    + Stay informed of updates, new features, and best practices in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

    TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

    + Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD..

    + Experience with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 tasks.

    + Strong understanding of identity management, security, and compliance in a cloud environment.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Intune or similar device management platforms.

    + Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to cloud services and user access.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLSETS DESIRED

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.

    + Experience supporting environments of 300+ users.

    + Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator, Security Administrator) are preferred.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

    + Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

    + Strong documentation and procedural skills.

    + Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
