Bilingual Collections Analyst
Job Description
The Collections Analyst will pursue collections on high-risk gas accounts. This role involves investigating residential and non-residential gas accounts, assisting with damage collections, and managing relationships with outside agencies. The ideal candidate will handle complex inquiries from customers and contractors while navigating gas and damage billing disputes to achieve successful payment resolutions.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct detailed account reviews within the business information system for internal, outside agency, and customer-related inquiries.
+ Initiate and receive telephone calls regarding Special Accounts in Collections, government, and other high-risk collection matters.
+ Manage collections investigations in coordination with internal departments and comply with regulatory tariffs and law enforcement requirements.
+ Assist with third-party damage collections, including managing and responding to internal and external collection inquiries.
+ Execute customer billing inquiries and account changes accurately and promptly.
+ Document findings and coordinate customer communication, billing, and collections, including field inspections to gather evidence and explain findings to customers.
+ Manage investigations related to revenue protection matters in coordination with internal departments and comply with regulatory tariffs and law enforcement requirements.
+ Ensure processes support continued customer experience improvement and adapt to changing business needs.
+ Perform other duties, as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of analytical experience in a business environment required.
+ Experience working with business information systems, including SAP, Oracle or similar required.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and identify customer issues and solutions.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate complex messages effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
+ Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office, to share, retrieve, research, and present business information.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully handle daily deadlines and multiple projects with competing deadlines.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise discretion when making business decisions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in Business, Statistics, or related quantitative field preferred.
+ Spanish speaking preferred.
+ Experience in energy, telecommunications, sales/marketing, customer service, or financial/insurance industry preferred.
+ Exceptional listening and analytical skills.
+ Knowledge of process mapping and business process reengineering preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, and peers.
+ Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. The role involves collaboration with a team focused on growth within a fast-paced, agile environment. Dress code and specific reporting details are not explicitly provided.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
