CNC Machinist

Pay Rate $22- $30

The shift is from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 pm to 1 am

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in manufacturing precision aluminum and steel products for private and military applications. Our focus is primarily on creating aluminum computer and systems enclosures for defense companies and the US Navy.

Responsibilities

+ Independently set up all CNC and manual machines in a productive manner.

+ Develop and utilize tooling and fixturing to machine parts to required tolerances as specified by blueprints and work instructions.

+ Operate machining equipment to meet quality and efficiency requirements.

+ Plan tooling, programming, and material requirements for systematic and efficient job changeovers.

+ Understand CNC machine programming and modify programs at the terminal.

+ Maintain accurate records of tooling requirements and program changes.

+ Perform periodic maintenance as required.

+ Be cost-effective in the utilization of tools, supplies, and equipment.

+ Demonstrate goal-oriented initiative, reliability, and success in achieving department objectives.

+ Inspect own work to verify compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with CNC Machinist tools such as Mills, HAAS, FADAL.

+ Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, and aluminum machining.

Work Environment

The shop is very clean and houses 20-30 employees, with 99% of the work done on aluminum. The shift is from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 pm to 1 am. Closed-toe shoes or work boots are required, and safety glasses will be provided if needed. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable, but shorts are not allowed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
