Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our production team as a General Production Worker in a dynamic process production environment. You will operate and maintain multiple machines, ensuring efficient production and high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

+ Learn yarn size and designation for the Candle Wick Department.

+ Operate machines and understand the concept of stitching and gear systems.

+ Test candle wicks for curl, pool diameter, flame height, and rate of consumption.

+ Evaluate products for stitch per inch, weight, and yield.

+ Set up machines and use proper size raw material based on product specifications.

+ Run products to specification and package materials properly.

+ Perform frequent quality checks and ensure high standards.

+ Conduct machine repairs, replacements, or adjustments as needed and troubleshoot machine problems.

+ Label produced materials correctly and record them on production reports.

+ Suggest improvements for machine changes, production efficiency, and safety.

+ Communicate with next shift team members about machines, production, and priorities.

+ Attend scheduled meetings and assist in other areas as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production and machine operation.

+ Strong inspection and quality assessment skills.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, older building with multiple departments. Be prepared for potential odors in the candle department. This is a third shift position with hours from Sunday to Thursday, 11 PM to 7:30 AM. Will train on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cavetown, Maryland

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
