Maintenance Reliability Engineer - Edwardsport, INJob Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to develop and implement comprehensive programs for reviewing and monitoring the performance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors. The ideal candidate will establish key performance indicators and metrics to assess equipment health and maintenance effectiveness, conduct regular inspections, collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, and optimize maintenance schedules and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
+ Rotating Equipment Review and Monitoring:
+ Develop and implement comprehensive programs to review and monitor the performance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors.
+ Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess equipment health and maintenance effectiveness.
+ Conduct regular inspections and audits of rotating equipment to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
+ Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize maintenance schedules and procedures for rotating equipment.
+ Oil Analysis:
+ Interpret oil analysis results to identify wear patterns, contamination, and lubrication issues.
+ Develop and implement corrective actions based on oil analysis findings to prevent equipment failures.
+ Reliability Improvement:
+ Develop and execute reliability improvement plans to enhance equipment performance and extend asset life.
+ Utilize predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis to assess equipment health.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in rotating equipment, recommending and implementing repairs.
+ Data Analysis and Reporting:
+ Maintain accurate records of oil analysis results, equipment inspections, and maintenance activities.
+ Analyze data to identify trends and potential reliability issues, providing actionable insights to management.
+ Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and reliability metrics.
+ Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in predictive maintenance technologies.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
+ Train and mentor maintenance personnel on oil analysis techniques and reliability best practices.
Job Requirements
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Maintenance and Reliability Engineering, with a focus on Rotating Equipment and Oil Analysis.
+ Proficient in predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis and oil analysis.
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
+ Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
+ Effective communication and teamwork skills.
+ Preferred but Not Required - 2 or 4 year technical degree.
+ Preferred but Not Required - Vibration Certification.
Work Environment
This position will be working with one of the largest utilities in the country, and this 618-megawatt IGCC facility is one of the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power plants in the world. It emits less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates than the plant it replaces – while providing more than 10 times the amount of megawatt-hours. This position works onsite at the IGCC plant and the typical work schedule is five days a week, 40 hours per week, with overtime possible during outages or emergency situations. This plant features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, making it a unique work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
