The Cloud Engineering: Platform Deployments & Data Services team designs and develops the highly available processes associated with the provisioning, configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrade, and deployment of the Pega Platform and its strategic and industry applications. Working in a collaborative environment, your familiarity of Kubernetes, Docker, RDBMS, Application Servers, coupled with excellent Go and Java skills will help drive the future of our Pega Cloud and Client Managed Cloud solutions.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• As a principal cloud engineer on the team, you will work on designing and implementing solutions for making software changes to the underlying infrastructure in a highly available manner.

• Ensure the Pega Platform is scalable and resilient by leveraging Cloud services and technologies ensuring end users are not impacted by infrastructure changes.

• Write code that is cloud native and cloud provider agnostic.

You are capable of exploring and enhancing Pega technology using your expertise in cloud technologies and object-oriented software development. You demonstrate the ability to apply previous learning experiences to new challenges effectively. You promote working in an agile, fast-paced environment that values collaboration and teamwork. You apply software design and development best practices, which you can leverage to support our Pega Cloud with our "as-a-Service" evolution.

What You've Accomplished:

+ Bachelor’s Computer Science degree with 10+ years professional experience or a Master's Computer Science degree with 7+ years of professional experience.

+ Strong relational database experience and familiarity with data warehouse solutions; experience with AWS Redshift or GCP BigQuery are a plus

+ Experience developing highly scalable applications using tools like Golang or Java

+ Experience with testing frameworks and automation pipelines.

+ A solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker containers (equivalent to CKAD certification)

+ Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker containers.
