    Summary

    The person in this position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day cash management within the Treasury function for Compass Minerals International.

    Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    + Daily banking interface for borrowings, repayments, rate locks and overnight investment decisions

    + Responsible for managing corporate bank accounts and ensuring the protection and custody of funds, securities and other financial instruments

    + Analyze all daily receipts and disbursements activity; responsible for all outbound wires

    + Assist with the management and administration of bank accounts

    + Process accounting schedules and interest payments for all corporate debt instruments, including Sr Notes, AR Securitization, Revolver, Term Loans, and Letters of Credit; including providing support and explanations to auditors

    + Work on daily cash management activities; manage the Credit Facility for daily liquidity management

    + Maintain the AR Securitization Model tracking receivables; prepare and distribute securitization reports

    + Process borrowing and pay down requests for the company’s Accounts Receivable (AR) Securitization program

    + Assists Treasurer in gathering information and analyzing financial records to forecast future cash requirements.

    + Develops, recommends and implements strategies to aggressively manage interest expense

    + Takes active role in developing and implementing cash management policies and procedures

    + Completes all compliance activities required by all debt agreements, including the Credit Agreement, Sr Notes, and AR Securitization Program

    + Assists Treasurer in evaluating the need for procurement of funds and investment of surplus cash

    + Assists in developing strategies on debt refinancing and acquisition financings, including assistance in negotiating agreements

    + Assists with monthly accounting close for treasury related activities

    + Interface with Tax and Accounting departments for cross-border cash and debt transactional analysis and implementation

    + Process accounting schedules and interest payments for all intercompany loans; including providing support and explanations to auditors

    + Manage Intercompany loan designations under US GAAP

    + Execute Foreign Exchange (FX) spot trades for liquidity purposes

    + Management of debt covenants & compliance activities

    + Maintain strong relationships with partner banks

    + Support Treasurer with new debt issuance, tender offer, and swap planning and execution

    + Work closely with the FP&A team to model out leverage, interest, covenants, and debt pay down/issuance timing

    + Work with cross-functional teams including Legal, Tax, AP, AR, FP&A and Accounting

    + Manage letters of credit, evaluate credit exposure, monitor fees, and process renewals

    + Work with Internal Audit to ensure all Treasury controls and compliance requirements are met

    + Support the settlement process for all Natural Gas Derivatives

    + Participate in special assignments and projects as required

    + Perform other related duties as required, including supporting Investor Relations and Insurance functions

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    + 5 years’ experience in Treasury function in a corporate environment.

    + Intermediate proficiency in Excel (i.e., vlookup, conditional formatting, pivot tables, IF statements).

    + Proven attention to detail and ability to meet multiple, competing priorities.

    + Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
