Job Description
**AECOM** is seeking a Mid-Level **Contract Claims Supervisor** to be based in our Baltimore, MD office to support the Frederick Douglass Tunnel (FDT) Program among other project opportunities available at AECOM.
AECOM is the delivery partner for Amtrak on the FDT Program that will upgrade a ten-mile section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC), America’s busiest passenger rail line. Located south of Baltimore Penn Station, the new tunnel will replace the existing 150-year-old B&P Tunnel and, once complete, it will deliver a faster, more reliable trip for more than 12 million annual Amtrak and MARC customers in the region.
The delivery partner team is responsible for supporting Amtrak with overseeing the full breadth of the program. The scope of services includes program management, design oversight, construction oversight, commissioning oversight, program controls, and commercial and capacity building. The Program will also include delivery of new roadway and railroad bridges, new rail systems and track, and a new ADA-accessible West Baltimore MARC station.
The Contract Claims Supervisor will support actions required to address contract changes and claims assigned by the Claims Manager and Contract Administrator. An ideal candidate has some experience in transit / infrastructure projects in the design, construction or commissioning phases. The Claims Analyst Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing potential contract changes; engaging in claims avoidance activities; and engaging, strategizing, and working with construction oversight teams to support merit assessments and resolution of claims. The role requires familiarity with construction or other contract change management, contract law, and project management. Preferred competences include construction or engineering management, P3 Scheduling, budget management, and /or commercial and business acumen.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
+ Maintain claims and early warnings’ register.
+ Review potential changes
+ Review requests for equitable adjustment / merit
+ Carry out initial triage and risk assessments
+ Review project correspondence, and track and report out on status of potential and actual changes and claims
+ Interface with the contractor and other stakeholders, as required, to gather additional details
+ Attend technical and commercial project working group meetings as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree plus (6) six years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
+ Critical thinking skills to apply analytical techniques to assess claims
+ The ability to liaise effectively and to work closely with various multi-disciplinary technical and project controls teams
+ P3 Scheduling and budget management experience
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
+ Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills with proven ability to balance competing tasks and meet deadlines
+ Self-directed, detail-oriented, excellent at meeting deadlines skills
+ Availability to work in the Integrated Program Office in Baltimore, MD.
+ Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $125,000.00.
