    We are searching for the best talent for a Software Test Engineer to be in Santa Clara, CA.

     

    **Purpose:** The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for writing test procedures, test reports, executing test plans and filing bugs. The candidate must be comfortable working with sophisticated electro-mechanical systems, deploying new software releases and running the test protocols on the systems. The candidate will work in close relationship with the software team and other stakeholders to improve the test infrastructure, data collection, data analysis and measure software product quality and performance throughout the software development lifecycle. We are looking for a candidate that can work independently but also function well within a team and with other functional groups, is detailed, highly motivated and willing to take responsibility & ownership.

    You will be responsible for:

    + Uses advanced knowledge of applications and application testing in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems.

    + Responsible for handling highly complex quality assurance and test environment problems and issues.

    + Analyzes application specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and technical functional specification documents.

    + Works with development teams to understand and review technical design to devise effective test strategy and is flexible enough to source out this information even without formal requirements

    + Writes detailed test plans/test protocols, test cases, test scripts and test scenarios

    + Executes test protocols, test cases, test scripts and scenarios and log/follow-up on defects.

    + Perform thorough review of test plans/test protocols, test cases, test scripts and test scenarios.

    + Works with other functional groups, and team members.

    + Creates test automation scripts in python

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    Education:

    Bachelor’s in Software (or) Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    + At least three years of progressive experience in software test engineering.

    + Strong understanding of test methodologies such as performance, load, stress, functional, regression, unit, etc.

    + Detailed understanding of SQA process; should have experience in implementing SQA process(es) previously

    + Must have experience writing test protocols, test cases, test scenarios.

    + Strong analytical/communication skills, capable of uncovering anomalies in robust software.

    + Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

    + Experience with JIRA or any similar bug tracking tools.

    + Experience with JAMA or any similar test management tools.

    + Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Batch, Bash and Linux commands

    + An approachable individual who provides a high level of teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.

    + Must be highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and optimally prioritize projects and tasks.

    Preferred:

    + Knowledge on Windows and Linux operating systems

    + Additional years of experience, experience with robotics systems

    + Software testing for sophisticated electro-mechanical systems (Medical device preferred).

    + Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

     

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday, generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·

     

    + Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

    + Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

    + This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
