Position Description:
Advises individuals and provides guidance services regarding complex issues of assigned area. Work is performed under minimal supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Serve as the primary advisor for students participating in global health programs, guiding them through the application process, program requirements, and expectations.
+ Provide individualized support to students in selecting global health opportunities that align with their academic and professional goals.
+ Track student participation and outcomes to assess the impact of global health programming experiences.
+ Design and implement programs that promote awareness and dialogue around global health issues impacting patient care and population health locally and internationally.
+ Develop and execute initiatives focused on cultural awareness, including workshops and training sessions on cultural sensitivity in healthcare and global health settings.
+ Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance program outcomes and support strategic decision-making. Coordinate logistics for global health events, workshops, and trainings.
+ Manage the international travel setup process for TTUHSC El Paso faculty, staff, and students traveling on behalf of the university. Ensure all travelers are enrolled in the required international travel insurance and meet institutional travel guidelines.
+ Maintain up-to-date travel records and provide guidance on university policies related to international travel.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director to support the mission and goals of the Office of Global Health and Societies.
+ Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
+ Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience with coordinating multiple activities and/or projects.
+ Prior experience in data entry and development of marketing design.
+ Experience in healthcare and university setting.
+ Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
+ Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
+ Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
+ Program planning and implementation skills.
+ Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
+ Ability to provide leadership and guidance to students.
+ Organizing and coordinating skills.
+ Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Suite Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and other graphic design software applications.
