Job Overview
Fairview Range is hiring a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor for Inpatient Behavioral Health Department in Hibbing, MN.
As a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor, you will complete Rule 25 assessments on the inpatient Behavioral Health units as scheduled, write up assessments and assist with referrals and transfer to treatment programs. This role assists with other departments as needed but priority will be given to the Behavioral Health department.
**Schedule:** The LADC will be working onsite full time, 80 hours per pay period. This position will be 8-hour, day shifts. No weekends.

As a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor, you will be responsible for:
+ Conducting patient's initial screening and assessments to assess an individual's needs for chemical dependency treatment.
+ Initiating referrals for treatment programs, while collaborating with other professionals to provide quality patient care.
+ Providing individual, group and family counseling and applying crisis intervention skills to provide quality patient care as needed.
+ Delivering comprehensive addiction education to support patients in encouraging a deeper comprehension and acceptance of the intricacies of the addictive disease process, as well as fostering effective strategies for relapse prevention.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Addiction Counseling, psychology, sociology, or closely related field.
+ LADC licensure
+ Past experience completing Rule 25 assessments and addiction counseling.
+ BLS, or acquires within 6 months of hire and maintains.
+ BCS, or acquires within 3 months of hire and maintains.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience working in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
+ Previous Mental Health experience.
