Job Summary:

Xylem is hiring for a Senior Field Service Technician to travel to various customer sites and perform preventative maintenance on our water purification equipment. This position is open to all qualified candidates in the northeast.

Responsibilities:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

+ Create and maintain safe working environment and culture within the organization

+ Take care of company property

+ Demonstrates high impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment

+ Must be able to function in a team environment

+ Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed

+ Operate fusion machine to build HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipelines on customer site to connect the pumping system. Ensure pumping system and pipeline meet operational requirements. Understand and react to how weather conditions effect HDPE fusion.

+ Work independently or as part of a crew to install and dismantle pumping systems and pipelines on customer job sites.

Travel Requirements:

+ Travel 1x/week on average

+ May travel anywhere in NE

Education & Experience Requirements:

+ HS diploma or equivalent

+ Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen

+ Ability to obtain DOT Medical card

+ 2 to 5 years of technical work experience, including industrial or commercial process water experience

Skill Requirements:

+ Electrical, mechanical, diesel, fusion experience highly preferred

+ Construction or project management experience a PLUS

+ Work without direct supervision

+ Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices

+ Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability

+ Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve problems often in novel and unexpected ways

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions

Salary range:

$46,200.00 - $73,900.00
