**BJC Medical Group** is seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician** to join our well-established outpatient clinic located in a charming rural community just over an hour away from St. Louis, Missouri in Sullivan, MO. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive environment affiliated with **Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital** that has committed to expanding Primary Care department space in 2025. This opportunity provides great mentorship and is enhanced by the presence of a licensed social worker, dietitian and a multispecialty clinic, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients making them our first priority.

Practice Overview:

+ Join an existing outpatient only clinic that has been recently expanded and remodeled.

+ Collaborate in this practice with two established Primary Care Providers and an OBGYN Physician.

+ Sub-specialty support and hospitalist team to care for your patients.

+ 36 patient contact hours within a 5-day work week.

Overview

**Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital** is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.

The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area.

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.

The Sullivan medical clinic is a well-established, multi-discipline physician group providing family, internal and OB care.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing Specialty to the best of physician’s ability through direct patient care and spend additional time as necessary to perform other related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations and in-basket management, conducting patient-specific education and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities

+ Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or otherwise arranging for inpatient hospital care of physician’s patients, either through regular hospital rounds, making arrangements with one or more hospitalist(s) or other qualified physician to provide coverage for physician’s hospitalized patients consistent with Medical Staff requirements.

+ Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at the clinic location(s) designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach location to which physician may be assigned as patient care demands.

+ Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.

+ Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while observing and following all BJC policies and procedures and all applicable legal, ethical and professional standards.

+ Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff or any care team member assigned in the care of physician’s patient panel.

+ BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
