    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    To perform Echocardiograms and assist in Transesophageal Echocardiograms for the purpose of diagnosing possible cardiac conditions. Performs clerical duties associated with the processing of the Echo reports.

    What will you do in this role:

    + Knows and understands the objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital and Echo Lab.

    + Knowledgeable of all echocardiograph procedures.

    + Knows operating principles of the equipment and all safety aspects related to the equipment.

    + Transporting of patient and equipment.

    + Routine cleaning, maintenance, and stocking of echo lab and equipment.

    + Processing of paperwork and reports

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    + Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer

    + One year experience in a cardiovascular-related department preferred.
