Contract Duration: 12+ Months **Required Skills & Experience**

+ 12+ years Experience with Application Database Administration.

+ Experience with Oracle RDBMS on RHEL 7/8

+ Database System monitoring experience.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

+ Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems.

What You Will Be Doing

+ Hands-on Java application development and coding.

+ Handle high priority projects.

+ Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.

+ Provide development expertise and bring advanced knowledge of applications programming to ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.

+ Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions, identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.

+ Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.

+ Provide hands-on Application Database Administration support to the entire Reference Data team for its enhancements.

+ Actively ensure availability and performance tuning of the databases that support the system.

+ Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.

+ Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.

+ Provide trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.

+ Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.

+ Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.

+ Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team.
