    Description: A Deployment Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Evendale, OH 45215. This is an On-Site full-time, direct hire position with full benefits. To be considered for this role, you must be a US citizen and must possess a Secret Security clearance or be capable of obtaining one successfully. Additionally, you must hold a current CompTIA Security + CE certification or equivalent or be capable of obtaining one successfully. Due to nature of the work, employment requires the candidate to be on-site daily, no remote or hybrid schedule opportunities available. Additionally, you must be able to pass a drug test.

     

    Ideal candidates will have a staff engineer competency level equivalent to an associate Cyber Security/Network Management degree, plus a minimum of four (4) years" work experience supporting, building, and deploying any combination of the below listed technology systems.

    Requirements:

    Ideal Candidate will have L3 knowledge in at least one of the Preferred Current technology systems listed below and at a minimum, L1+ knowledge in one or more of the other areas following. Additional experience in the Future Systems area will be considered a plus. Candidate must be capable of troubleshooting multiple platforms/systems and layers of the OSI model.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce and deliver presentations and training on new technology implementations (Transition to Operations).

    • Proactive disposition to research technical issues, contribute to process and technology improvement discussions, and learn new tools and technologies required to excel in their role.

    • Professional demeanor to work in an active professional office environment and ability to communicate with high level managers and decision makers as needed.

    • Collaboration, Decision Making, and Risk Management - experience in change planning and execution, ability to understand the requirements of complex changes and work with Program/Product Managers to engage other departments and resources as required.

    • Must be able to work independently, if needed, in a closed air-gapped environment to troubleshoot issues, across various platforms, that may occur during a system deployment.

    • Must be U.S. person and have (or be eligible to obtain) a DoD Secret security clearance, with investigation date within the last five years and IA certifications at or above the level of Security+.

    Responsibilities include but are limited to:

    • Identifying and fixing vulnerabilities within existing security systems

    • Performing patches to advert potential security problems

    • Developing organization-wide security measures

    • Documenting known security breaches and vulnerabilities

    • Providing feedback to cybersecurity engineers to improve proposed or existing systems

    • Build, patch and deploy Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches

    • Build, patch and deploy ISE AAA servers

    • Install 4000 series Firepower Threat Detection firewall servers

    • Configure Firepower Threat Detection Firewall and rules

     

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $100,000 to $110,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
