JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is seeking an experienced leader with extensive knowledge of the midstream space to join our team as Director of Commercial, supporting our Louisiana assets in Houston, TX. This role involves managing both the Business Development and Commercial teams, fostering a positive culture, and driving company growth.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of natural gas pipelines and have a proven track record of providing strategic direction and identifying opportunities for asset expansion and increased pipeline utilization. We are looking for someone recognized as a visionary leader, a proven track record of building strong relationships, successful in building a positive team culture through change and promoting excellence and innovation.
Job Profile Summary
This position manages and directs expansion strategies, strategic priorities, and implementation plans and projects to achieve established strategies. Identifies business development opportunities, and oversees the evaluation of opportunities including expansion or optimization projects at existing locations. Takes a lead role in project development to establish economic and commercial terms and leads teams to accomplish strategic goals and execute value-added opportunities. Negotiates contracts. Maintains relationships with high-profile customers and business development contacts. Also directs the management of Product Movement, and Business Development functions within assigned geographies. The position may include responsibilities for the Crude Quality, Marine Pipeline, and/or terminal systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
+ Manage and direct employees engaged in activities including but not limited to:
+ Identification and acquisition of product supplies
+ Economic thinking, economic modeling, and risk analysis
+ New project development
+ Coordination of well connections
+ Product contract negotiation with producers
+ Define, develop, and implement strategies to acquire product and expand or acquire facilities via acquisitions, divestitures, or development of organic growth opportunities, in line with overall Gathering and Processing and company strategy including but not limited to:
+ Assessment of competitive environment
+ Understanding of market and industry trends and developments that may impact our business
+ Development of venture summaries and/or project requests to senior management
+ Negotiate major contracts to optimize financial return
+ Establish and sustain positive, long-term relationships with potential and existing customers
+ Primary responsibility for financial performance/profit and loss of assigned assets
+ Prepare, analyze, review, and approve capital expenditures related to acquisition (routine growth and large project growth AFEs)
+ Develop volume and margin forecasts for annual, 3-yr, and 10-yr plans
+ Optimization of production, assets, and contracts to maximize value
+ Monitor, review, and/or prepare information and reports including but not limited to:
+ Product supply contracts
+ Request for proposals
+ Responses to regulatory agencies and/or interveners
+ Status reports
+ Coach/mentor employees to maximize effectiveness and ensure key commercial competencies are being developed, with attention to succession planning and development of our next generation of leaders
+ Collaborate with leaders in other business units and/or support groups to ensure alignment of strategies, activities, and resources.
+ Provide support to other departments with respect to issues concerning product supply, including legislative and regulatory, contract litigation, and acquisition due diligence investigations
Education
+ Bachelor's Degree Degree business administration, economics, engineering, finance, other related field or equivalent combination of formal education
Work Experience
+ Experience in and thorough knowledge of the energy sector and supply activities
+ Experience evaluating complex financial transactions
+ Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software
+ Experience and training related to:
+ Contract negotiation and administration
+ Product supply scheduling and nominations
+ Marketing of energy products
+ Interpersonal communication skills
+ Experience reading and interpreting pricing reports, supply data, purchase, transportation and storage contracts, pipeline and rate tariffs, market trends, Request for Bids (RFB), state and federal orders and regulations, financial information and company policies and procedures
+ Experience researching and preparing correspondence, budgets, imbalance calculations, confirmation reports, allocation reports, hedging reports, company’s response to regulatory requests, RFB documents and educational material
+ Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively
+ Experience leading, directing, training and/or supervising
+ Experience preparing information, conducting meetings and making presentations

$176,000.00 - $264,000.00
