    About the role

     

    _The focus of the role is to achieve the required levels of customer service, effective capacity planning and scheduling to ensure optimization of available resources. In managing the Supply Chain, this position is integral to key activities related to operational improvements and change management e.g. capital projects, new manufacturing operations start-up, new product launches and other Supply Chain management activities and business programs, that impact product supply. Responsible for delivering a plan to ensure on-time materials & components availability as well as shipping all finished goods as requested by customers._

    Role Responsibilities

    + _Responsible for the Site Master Production Plan providing direction to the Supply Planning Team to ensure detailed production schedules are in place to maximize and achieve optimal levels of customer service. Consideration for utilization and efficiency targets within the plant (COGS)._

    + _Oversees short and long-range production plans (as applicable) are considered to support customer service requirements of the business._

    + _Works in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain Leader and customers to optimize inventory in the network, leveraging the relevant planning tools (SAP) and inventory optimization tools available._

    + _Generally, monitors the performance of Purchasing operations, including items and supplier data on raw materials, packaging materials and updated item specifications. Keeps Director of Site Operations, Site Manufacturing and Quality Leads, when needed, continually informed of developments in this area._

    + _Leads in the Internal S&OP processes to ensure complete alignment of supply and demand through the supply chain._

    + _Support the effective deployment of S&OP processes within the Plant, input of high quality and robust plant intelligence into Global and Regional S&OP forums and proactive engagement with all affiliates at appropriate levels of frequency to ensure the assimilation of all key market intelligence._

    + _Ensure the effective implementation of key Supply Chain metrics aligned to the Customer Service Strategy and integrated into site scorecards._

    + _In collaboration with Global Network Planning, Regional Supply Chain and the Affiliates/Plants, develop appropriate replenishment strategies and “days of supply” for all bulk and finished pack skus._

    + _Participates regularly in the periodic determination of desired finished stock levels._

    + _Performs Inventory management by supervising and reviewing, the financial reserve related to the site product portfolio._

    + _Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure they have the necessary support/ skills/ capabilities to succeed in their role and develop their respective team members. Provide formal training/curricula for all members of the supply chain._

    + _Proactively build and develop talent within the Supply Chain function and adhere to GPM requirements as appropriate._

    + _Responsible for the Customer Service offering of the Plant to the Affiliates and/or Plants/Third Parties. Develops and maintains the Site Strategic Plan for Product Supply and Customer Service and translates these plans into team and individual work plans._

    + _Directs and coordinates the activities ensuring potential supply issues are identified and mitigated in a proactive and timely manner._

    + _Manages the external communications process to all internal and external stakeholders and deploys a robust Issue Management protocol to ensure consistency of approach and message._

     

    _Why you?_

    Basic Qualifications:

    + _BS/BA Degree, preferably in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Management or related field)_

    + _Minimum of five (5) years of experience in production planning or related field._

    + _At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment ideally with exposure to Manufacturing/Packaging Processes._

    + _At least 5 years of experience as a team leader/manager level in the Pharmaceutical industry_

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + _Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Corporate Quality Standards, Project Management, salary administration, recruiting, training and developing staff, and cost and budget management._

    + _Commercial awareness/ affiliate roles also a distinct advantage._

    + _Experience in Customer Service and/or Customer facing organizations preferred. Sound knowledge of principles and strategy for creating Customer Service excellence, driving culture and attitude._

    + _Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills required._

    + _Strong working knowledge of data management systems required and experience of significant systems implementations and specifically knowledge of SAP_

    + _A highly motivated change agent who can work collaboratively and energize others to drive change_

    + _Passionate about people, development and motivation._

    + _Good verbal and writing skills in English and Spanish._
