TITLE: Consumer Lending Processing & Purchasing Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Consumer Lending Credit Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt

PAY GRADE: NE 35 ($21.00 - $32.60 hour)

AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Position Summary:

Detail-oriented and knowledgeable lending professional that is responsible for processing consumer loan applications, onboarding loans purchased from third-party originators, and preparing accurate closing documentation. Provides comprehensive support to the consumer lending department, ensuring timely and compliant execution of loan processing, mortgage acquisitions, and closing functions. Acts as a liaison between the Consumer Lending Credit Team and the Retail Branch Network.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Onboard loans sent by Third Party Originators for purchasing after underwriting process is complete, including the preparation and mailing of customer documents and wiring funds.

+ Review new loan applications taken by NMLS and Branch Employees for completeness and accuracy. Ensures initial loan disclosures were generated and completed accurately in order to move into Underwriting.

+ Complete OFAC check, review initial demographic information & review initial disclosures for accuracy.

+ Coordinate loan closings with NMLS and Branch Employees.

+ Prepare and deliver closing documents, including a quality review for accuracy.

+ Review and index documents post-closing for proper completion and retention.

+ Process incoming emails and phone calls to properly update corresponding loans with outcome. Communicate any changes as needed.

Education & Experience:

1. Associate Degree in Business or related field required.

2. Two years’ experience in Consumer Lending or equivalent banking or business experience.

3. Knowledge of MSWord is required. Familiarity with Excel and Microsoft windows applications preferred. Attention to detail is critical as is the ability to work independently and cooperatively in group settings.

4. Knowledge of Encompass Mortgage Software preferred.
