    + Provides learning opportunities in one or more of the following areas: Foreign Language using the curriculum adopted by the District.

    + Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide customized, small and large group instruction.

    + Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

    + Regularly assesses each student’s academic and social growth, maintains appropriate and timely records, and prepares progress reports.

    + Conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs

    + Encouraging parental involvement in students' education.

     

    Full Job Description (https://www.biddefordschools.me/page/job-descriptions-district) Certification/License:Certification in (420 or 440) from the Maine Department of EducationCriminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.Masters Degree in related area preferred.Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.Live and Work in the Biddeford, Maine Community
