    Risk and Compliance Departments play a critical role in supporting our

    businesses and operations around the world. We move quickly and thoughtfully to help

    The Chief

    Risk Office and Global Compliance team provide coverage of Bloomberg's

    regulated entities and products, including support for Bloomberg's

    non-regulated products and services. We

    work to address regulatory and operational issues, ensure compliance with

    current/developing rules and regulations, and correspond with regulators. We

    are currently looking for an experienced person to work with our Risk and

    Compliance Shared Services team.

     

    What's The Role?

     

    As the Risk and Compliance Policy Officer, you will work

    with the Chief Risk Office and Global Compliance teams, as well as key business

    and risk stakeholders. You will play a

    critical role in assisting with the developing the company-wide Policy Program

    strategy. Your expertise will contribute to Bloomberg’s proactive approach in

    managing risks. In addition, as your understanding

    of Bloomberg products develops, you will support the firmwide risk management

    program and have the ability to identify, and escalate top and emerging risks

    to Senior Management and Risk / Compliance Management.

    We'll Trust You To:

    + Contributeto a team to develop, enhance, and proactively maintain firm-wide policies andprocedures that meet regulatory expectations, Bloomberg standards, and industrybest practices

    + Draftpolicy documents by working closely with various stakeholders across theCompany, including Legal, Compliance, and Risk colleagues. Ensure policies are clear,concise, and easy to read

    + Collaboratewith subject matter experts to ensure policies are communicated effectively andimplemented consistently throughout Bloomberg

    + Continuallyassess and refresh policies to address emerging risks, regulatory trends, andchanges to the business and implement effective communication protocols

    + Assistwith proactively identifying, recommending, and leading improvementopportunities to enhance the firm-wide policy document framework

    + Contributeto assessing the effectiveness of the program and establish feedback loop forfuture policy enhancements, and Training content and delivery improvements

    + Collaboratewith risk, legal, and compliance teams to align policies and training toregulatory /operational expectations and industry standards

    + Developand present insightful management information directly to senior management on relatedpolicies and training courses

    + Executead-hoc assignments as directed by management

    You’ll Need To Have:

    + Bachelor’sdegree in Finance, Law, Business or related field

    + 7+ years of direct experience in Policy Development, Training, and RiskManagement, preferably at a banking, technology or a financial servicesorganization

    + Strongknowledge of regulations impacting the financial, technology, media industry

    + Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complexrisk concepts clearly

    + Understandingof risk management, internal controls, and root cause analysis

    + Abilityto work in a dynamic environment, building and maintaining a network ofcontacts, and coordinating with several partners across our company

    + Theability to work creatively and efficiently, to assist with building a policy programthat’s practical, risk-focused, and conscious of business and control partners’needs

    + Strongteam player skills in order to guide organizational change and collaborate withkey partners across various levels

    + Goodunderstanding of non-financial risks and related regulations and exceptionalstakeholder management skills

    We'd love to see:

    + Experiencetransposing global rules and regulation into Policy Documents

    + Internationalexperience, especially in Europe, Asia or USA

    + Familiaritywith financial markets and products including trading platform and operations
