The anticipated salary range for this role is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
The Dashboard analytics developer is responsible for leading the design and development of analytics on our dashboard platforms. The developer in this role will be responsible for designing and building reports and dashboards by engaging with geographically dispersed business units, HR Centre's of Excellence and the wider analytics team. The role requires an advanced understanding of analytics concepts, and dashboarding platforms including Prep, Desktop and Server to design impactful and supportable solutions that meet the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Serve as solution SME required to perform hands-on delivery of dashboard analytics reports, KPI’s and insights.
+ Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand and document their business processes, data, and reporting needs. Analyze and document data definitions, sources, limitations, and priorities.
+ Design impactful, attractive, compelling solutions using dashboards analytics suite of tools.
+ Architect data and transformation processes including dataflows and datasets, as well as create dashboards.
+ Understand the impact of existing system architecture, dataflows, and network constraints and design solutions optimized.
+ Develop the dataflows, dashboards, and associated assets utilizing our dashboarding platforms, and related technologies.
+ Partner with application developers and system owners to extract data relevant for the solution.
+ Perform dev testing and deployments following best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills
+ 5+ years’ development experience with PowerBI and Tableau.
+ Experience with analyzing and visualizing large volumes and multi-source data.
+ Experience with crafting and managing dataflows, datasets, sharing, and security predicates.
+ Experience with building / maintaining dashboards, connecting data sources from various sources including on prem databases and other systems.
+ Knowledgeable in advanced calculations and statistical functions, along with Custom KPI development.
+ Knowledgeable about dashboard performance and best practices.
+ Strong knowledge of analytics design principles, technically scalable data modelling and access security controls.
+ Experience in designing, building, and support / troubleshooting of analytics dashboards and dataflows including the implementation of enterprise level security.
+ Advanced experience with SQL, relational database management system, data modelling, and normalization.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
+ Working knowledge of Tableau and PowerBI architecture and security model, such as row level security and user security.
+ Experience with Azure.
+ Solid understanding of discovery, trend, comparison, and predictive modelling.
