Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Sterling, our Herndon site is looking for a new Air Logistics Aerospace Customer Care Specialist to join our Air Logistics team.
Your Role
Assist and provide guidance to clients and internal/external teams on specialized job orders, status updates, price quotes, or other job-related questions.
Your Responsibilities
+ Fiscal Responsibility: Help manage CT’s P&L.
+ Customer Service and Control group functions: Enter orders and set up logistics plans to meet customer’s needs. Ensure and maintain the order flow through QT.
+ Operational Performance: Contribute andensure alignment with strategic goals for process efficiency and customer satisfaction.
+ Implement initiatives for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
+ Customer Satisfaction & Quality Assurance: Address real-time customer satisfaction concerns and ensure corrective actions are applied and followed through.
+ Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to corporate strategy by implementing operational initiatives aligned with company goals.
+ Compliance and Emergency Preparedness: Ensure readiness with contingency plans and compliance, including necessary access for service partners.
+ Assist customers via phone, and email regarding order shipments, discrepancies, etc.
+ Monitor and manage the CG Event Menu/GSC checkpoints.
+ Compile, sort, and verify data is accurate before order entry and effectively solve potential problems or discrepancies.
+ Respond knowledgeably and courteously to incoming calls and customer inquiries.
+ Document, investigate and resolve all customer concerns in a timely fashion.
+ Manage track and trace updates, via electronic monitoring and manual updates.
+ Demonstrate ability to work through problems with service partners, airlines and carriers with minimal assistance.
+ Assist and provide guidance to clients and internal/external team on specialized job orders, price quotes, or logistical areas such as TSA, Dangerous Goods regulations, Customs, USDA,or other government agencies.
+ Review/Create all documentation for domestic transport, export or import of international shipments.
Your Skills and Experiences
+ World Geography / Time Zones
+ Freight forwarding / logistics background
+ Knowledgeable in domestic/international routings (preferred)
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively.
+ Maintain a high level of quality data entry and recordkeeping.
+ Customer service experience and/or background in logistics, air freight, or supply chain management (preferred)
+ Dangerous Goods Certification (not required)
+ Position requires candidates to work fully In Office
+ Able to work 2nd Shift / M-F 1500 -2300 or 3rd Shift M-F 2300-700
