    SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for an Engineering Technician III with a strong background as a heavy equipment operator and experience with instrumentation systems to conduct surveys.

    Requirements

    + Must be certified to operate heavy equipment such as a: dozer, track hoe, excavator, forklift, graders, and front loaders

    + Must be a U.S. citizen

    + Able to pass a background investigation (financial and criminal)

    + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance

    + Valid driver’s license

    + Experience with instrumentation systems and the ability to conduct detailed surveys

    + Ability to emplace, spread, and compact soil

    + Perform fine grading and retrograde the area

    + Examine site conditions and conduct soil analyses

    + Obtain measurements of soil cross sections and input into electronic format

    + Document results via photographs, physical survey, and/or in a field book

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    + Excellent verbal and written communication

    + P resentation skills

    + Apply basic analytical skills, scientific methods, or operational processes to perform tasks

    + Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures

    + Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

    + Work will be performed outside

    + Minimal travel required

    Qualifications

    + Associate degree in a related technical field

    + Two years related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

    + Minimum of three years of heavy equipment operating heavy equipment

    + Crane operator license and/or experience is preferred
