    Aerotek is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct HVAC maintenance, including changing and washing coils, fans, motors, belts, and filters.

    + Measure fluids and replace them as needed in HVAC units.

    + Perform preventive maintenance on chillers ranging from 20 to 100 tons.

    + Replace compressors, coils, and condensers on chillers.

    + Execute light plumbing tasks such as unclogging toilets and drains, and replacing fixtures and broken toilets.

    + Carry out electrical maintenance by changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts, and fixing electrical switches.

    + Perform small patch work and painting as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-5 years of HVAC maintenance experience.

    + 1+ year of experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems and chillers.

    + 1+ year of experience in changing ballasts, electrical switches, and light bulbs.

    + 1+ year of light plumbing experience.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2+ years of experience in building maintenance with a focus on HVAC, or completion of a technical school program in HVAC or building maintenance.

    + EPA Universal certification.

    + Clean driving record.

    + Ability and willingness to perform general facility maintenance beyond HVAC work.

    + Capability to climb 6-foot ladders and perform work at heights.

    + Availability for on-call duties during nights and weekends as needed.

    Work Environment

     

    Work during the first shift from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Be prepared for a demanding schedule, especially during summer months where service calls can lead to 80-hour weeks. Outside of summer, work hours may vary but typically do not exceed 50 hours per week. Travel to various buildings in a company truck, equipped with a work iPad and phone, and respond to service calls within two hours. Overnight travel is not required. The dress code includes a company-provided work shirt, pants (jeans or khakis), and leather boots.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tupelo, Mississippi.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
