Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and serves nearly 9,000 students each year. In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

(Position is with the Summer Athletic Camps and is pending enrollment).

Employment Date: Camp is scheduled:

July 7 – July 11, 9 a.m. – Noon.

July 14 – July 18, 9 a.m. – Noon.

July 21 – July 25, 9 a.m. – Noon.

Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree. At least five years of experience coaching in appropriate sport; possess working knowledge of all aspects of Golf; prior experience working in a camp setting.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:

Responsible for supervising program activities related to his/her particular sport

Responsible for developing program content

Oversee appropriate use of college equipment and facilities

Provide support to assistant coaches in resolving problems

Make time available to meet with parents as needed

Promote the program in dealing with the community

Prepare final report and other documents as necessary

Promote good sportsmanship

Perform other duties as assigned

The Salary rate for this position is $400.00 weekly for 5, ½ day camp.
