Penn Medicine is seeking a PRN, day-shift Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory at the Hospital off the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in the Pavilion.
Generally asking for availability consistently 1 day per week and every 4th weekend.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reviews prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness; confirms that technician filled prescriptions are accurate; respond to any insurance discrepancies; communicate with providers and patients when additional information is necessary to process prescriptions.
Credentials:
+ Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania at time of hire (required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
Retail (High Prescription/Insurance Volume is a Plus, Pharmacy Experience Preferred)
