Job Summary
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Business Analyst II. The Pharmacy Business Analyst II use data to improve claims reconciliation, billing processes and inventory management processes for pharmacy services. Design, develop, generate, and implement reports and dashboards to support operational activities. Work closely with leadership to understand current and future needs and modifies procedures to resolve complex issues. Work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications system analysis and programming activities with recommendations to company management and analyze recommendations. Good understanding of the business or functions for which applications are designed. Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
Essential Functions:
+ Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills: Analyze problems and processes to develop recommendations that deliver measurable improvements. Apply creativity to generate new ideas, approaches, and alternatives for solving problems. Understand criteria for making decisions. Define and solve problems, and ensure stakeholders understand the root causes of problems and how solutions address the root cause. Understand how team members, leaders, workflows, and technologies within Pharmacy interact and impact the organization. Understand how large amounts of detailed and potentially disparate information fit into a larger picture, focus on important details, and connect seemingly abstract information. Deliver understandable visualizations that effectively communicate complex concepts and models.
+ Demonstrate constructive behavioral characteristics: Reduce Novant Health's exposure to risk when a proposed solution or requirement may present ethical difficulties. Complete tasks on time and to the expectations of manager and stakeholders. Build stakeholder confidence that their recommendations with be evaluated properly and fairly. Perform tasks effectively and work time efficiently. Adjust behavioral style and method of approach to increase effectiveness when interacting with different stakeholders, organizations, and situation.
+ Use business knowledge: Understand the overarching concepts that govern the structure, benefits, and value of the pharmacy business relative to current practices and activities under review for changes. Ensure fundamental business principles and best practices are considered during solution review. Understand management structure in Pharmacy and business architect of analyst teams at Novant Health. Develop business analyses that consider context, dependencies, opportunities and constraints with methodologies used at Novant Health. Exercise effective communication skills: Convey information in a manner that is sensitive to the knowledge level and communication styles of the recipient, including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. Accurately understand information that is communicated verbally.
+ Utilize tools and technologies: Use software applications for communication and collaboration purposes, to create and maintain documentation of stepwise approach for completing analyses and data visualizations, track issues, and increase overall productivity. Perform business analysis activities.
+ Employ interaction skills: Engage, collaborate, and partner with multiple stakeholders, team members and leaders. Facilitate interactions with stakeholders to help them make decisions, solve problems, exchange ideas, or reach agreement on priorities and requirements. Lead investigation of analyses and solution options, build consensus, and encourage stakeholder support. Mediate negotiations between stakeholders. Ensure information is understood and retained by stakeholders.

Qualifications
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Computer science, mathematics, statistics, healthcare administration, or related field, required. Graduate Degree in Computer science, mathematics, statistics, healthcare administration, or related field, preferred.
+ Experience: Three years Proficiency to intermediate experience with database programming languages such as SQL, project planning, pharmacy analytics, report writing, data visualization, data storytelling, required.
+ Additional Skills (required): Strong understanding of pharmacy. Exceeds expectations of job functions at least 90% of the time for two quarters per year or within 18 months of hire date.
