About the Role
As a Design Director, you will play a strategic leadership role in defining the advertiser experience across their entire journey. You will lead a high-performing team to shape the strategy and design from onboarding to campaign management and optimization—empowering businesses to promote their brands seamlessly across the Walmart ecosystem.
In this role, you will drive innovation by designing intuitive, consumer-grade experiences that simplify onboarding and campaign management while integrating insightful recommendations to help advertisers optimize sales and reach. Leading with design excellence, you will ensure our tools are not only trusted and delightful but also uniquely tailored to advertisers’ needs. You will champion simplicity, transforming complex workflows into seamless and engaging experiences. With strong storytelling skills, you will communicate your vision and product design rationale and influence cross-functional teams and leadership. Balancing business and technology considerations, you will create high-impact, pixel-perfect designs that drive meaningful results in the rapidly evolving retail media landscape.

+ A strong strategic mindset and a systems thinking approach.
+ Expertise in developing enterprise advertising solutions and tools that enhance campaign performance, streamline workflows, and drive engagement and growth
+ Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a keen understanding of trends in the marketplace – in and out of retail.
+ Ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences of all levels of understanding and levels of seniority.
+ Track record of shipping high impact customer-facing products in a fast-moving and changing environment – one that celebrates experimentation, iteration, and shipping.
+ Experience leading product design process and building strong cross-functional partnerships.
+ Ability to produce great work in short timeframes, multitask across different projects and platforms and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.
+ Deep experience with business requirement gathering, end-to-journey mapping, facilitating sessions like Design Sprints, conducting competitive analysis, and leading rapid concepting and prototyping.
+ Champion of a design philosophy that is inclusive of all people.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Business, Communications, Fine Arts, or related field and 10+ years of experience in Product Design or related field. 3+ years of experience building and leading high performing teams. 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 6 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
