    What You’ll Do

    As a Welder, you will:

    + Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

    + Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.

    + Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.

    + Set up components for welding according to specifications.

    + Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.

    + Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

    + Other duties as required

     

    Work Environment

     

    + This role will be located in Chantilly, VA , and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

    Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of proven experience as a welder.

    + Experienced with a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, MMA, etc.).

    + Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).

    + Certification in welding from an accredited institution.

    + High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.

    + Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.

    + Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.

    + Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.

     

    Clearance: Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
