SUMMARY
Oversees talent acquisition, on-boarding, and development programs by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
+ Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
+ Supports the talent acquisition process for the Americas, including on-line application system, interview techniques, and utilizing various recruitment resources. Manages the on-boarding process for new hires, including new hire orientation and the Americas Internship Program.
+ Aligns training with corporate strategies to help achieve Company goals. Participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of EJ corporate trainings to meet Company goals.
+ Assess training needs by conducting a needs analysis study and conferring with managers and supervisors to determine training needs. Monitors needs on a continuous basis and revises needs as circumstances require.
+ Formulates training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services. Works in conjunction with the Managers in scheduling training.
+ Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods. Researches and selects outside consultants and trainers to conduct training in specific topics. Creates, administers, and monitors training programs developed utilizing eLearning methods.
+ Utilizes the Learning Management System (LMS). This includes creation and maintenance of training requirements for job positions as well as employee training history.
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through the use of program evaluations, employee feedback and supervisory review of employee performance following the training. Periodically attends a portion of or an entire session of training to get a first-hand assessment of training being performed.
+ Annually submits recommendations to management on a proposed budget for the following year. Once proposed budget is approved, continually monitor costs within that budget. If approved by Board of Directors, may submit applications and proposals for fund granting authorities such as government and foundations.
+ Works with the Human Resources department with the Tuition Reimbursement Program, professional certification program, EJ Scholarships and other educational benefits for employees.
+ Supports employee participation in the Performance Management program and succession planning activities.
+ Supports and participates in Global Talent Team programs, goals and initiatives under the direction of the Talent Development Manager in Group
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May manage up to three employees within the department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent; and four plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to dynamically speak in front of a large group of employees. Ability to share enthusiasm in subject matter. Ability to train using adult education techniques.
