Description:
Plans, implements and evaluates staff development programs for clinical and non-clinical personnel.
**Licensure/Certification/Registration** : Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia. BLS instructor-trainer/ACLS/PALS certification desirable.
**Education:** . Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree is desirable.
**Experience:** Minimum of five years experience in nursing and two years in the teaching of adults. Training in supervisory skills and background in clinical education, nursing, community health, or related field is required.
**Special Qualifications:** A high degree of initiative and independent judgment is required. Must have a broad knowledge of conditions of illness based on education and clinical experience. Must have a thorough understanding of the nursing process and know basic principles and practices of adult education. Must possess excellent clinical, organizational and communication skills and demonstrate evidence of skills in management, teaching, counseling, and group dynamics. Must have empathetic approach to people, flexibility and openness to change. Must adhere to a high standard of providing the best possible programs and activities. A high degree of dexterity is required to set up and operate a variety of audiovisual equipment. Must project a professional appearance and business-like manner at all times.
