    Are you excited to turn data into actionable insights and bringing value to the External Fulfillment network? We are looking for a self-driven, insightful, results-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer with strong analytical skills to partner with the NA External Fulfillment Operations teams and develop new analytical methods / Dashboards / KPIs (Performance, Quality, Compliance, etc.) to help the leadership execute strategic decisions based on data.

     

    The Business Intelligence Engineer should be able to extract data, build data pipelines, identify patterns and trends and should have the ability to convert pieces of data into meaningful stories to drive decision making. This position will enable high judgment, excellent analytical abilities and understanding of the business processes.     Key job responsibilities

     

    - Analyzing and solving business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities.

     

    - Expert in building BI solutions which are efficient, testable, maintainable, and resistant to data quality issues.

     

    - Analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.

     

    - Knows how to model data and design a data pipeline (ETL).

     

    - Develop complex and optimized query / data pipelines to extract gross data and transform it into meaningful reports / dashboards.

     

    - Interfacing with business and operations to gather and present data.

     

    - Enabling effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

     

    - Designing new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability.

     

    - Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

     

    - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

     

    - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

     

    - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

     

    - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

    - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

     

    - Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
