Description

We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting litigation matters. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.

• Provide comprehensive support to attorneys during all stages of litigation, including document preparation and case management.

• Handle e-filing processes for various courts and jurisdictions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings, ensuring all participants are informed and prepared.

• Maintain and update case calendars, deadlines, and schedules to support timely legal actions.

• Conduct legal research and compile findings to assist attorneys in case preparation.

• Create, organize, and index legal documents and case files for easy access and reference.

• Transcribe legal correspondence and other documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Manage legal billing processes, including tracking billable hours and preparing invoices.

• Assist with personal injury, intellectual property, and workers' compensation cases, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a litigation-focused environment.

• Proficiency with e-filing systems and processes across various jurisdictions.

• Strong ability to schedule and coordinate depositions and other legal proceedings.

• Exceptional organizational skills, including calendaring and deadline management.

• Experience conducting legal research and preparing reports.

• Advanced skills in transcribing legal documents and correspondence.

• Familiarity with legal billing practices and software.

• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.
