Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with well-known entertainment and hospitality organization that is in need for a newly created Director of Accounting position. This is hands on position which will be responsible for the daily accounting operations in a shared services environment working closely with senior leadership on both a local and corporate level.

Position Overview: As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee all accounting operations and provide strategic financial guidance to support the organizations business objectives. You will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and developing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on approach, particularly in managing daily financial activities and supporting mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll.

+ Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.

+ Lead the financial due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions, including analysis and integration planning.

+ Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and track financial performance against goals.

+ Ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

+ Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment activities to optimize financial performance.

+ Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

+ Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis; experience with NetSuite is a plus.

+ Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure best practices in financial management.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.

+ Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

+ Experience in the entertainment or hospitality industries or related fields is highly desirable.

+ Proven experience with mergers and acquisitions, including financial analysis and integration.

+ Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance.

+ Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
