Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Library located on Tyndall AFB, FL. Responsibilities Including but not limited to: Shelves books, magazines, and other library materials ensuring all materials are re-shelved in correct order. Reviews the library collection to ensure library materials are maintained in correct order in their assigned areas. Assists with automated and manual circulation duties, registering and deleting customers, charging and discharging library material, and checking to ensure those requests are filled. Uses a variety of computer and word processing software. Performs routine clerical tasks such as answering the telephone, taking messages, and referring customers to the appropriate staff member. Assists in maintaining and updated library statistics and filing. Must have experience or training that demonstrates the ability to perform simple computer and word processing. Typing skills are desirable. Work requires some physical exertion. Must possess skill in working with the public. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
