    Description:

    Summary:

    Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal department matters assigned, providing legal advisory services and working on tactical execution of legal matters and contract management.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    Intellectual Property

     

    + Provide paralegal services, including but not limited to intellectual property, contracts, legal support of business matters, problem resolution, review and assistance and other legal services as determined

    + Intellectual Property management including administrative functions, as required, to manage paralegal services, contract review and processing

    + Conduct basic and intermediate clearance analysis of trademarks, artwork, and marketing materials, maintain trademark and copyright portfolio and records, and prepare reports to internal business clients under the direction of in-house counsel

    + Familiarity with intellectual law, and the application and filing process

    + Prepare and file trademark and copyright applications and related maintenance submissions

    + Proficiency in docketing software and electronic file management

    + Provide outstanding service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

     

    Contracts

     

    + Independently draft, review, and process routine contracts and legal documents.

    + Maintain and update company contract templates as necessary

    + Liaise with operational departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 3-5 years’ experience performing same or similar job duties

    + Sound knowledge of the inner workings of the gaming and/or hospitality industry with excellent business acumen preferred

    + Experience communicating effectively with a variety of contacts; including, senior management, vendors, business partners and business associates

    + Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, provide leadership and influence organizational behavior

    + Strong written and verbal communications skills

    + Must possess excellent communication and organization skills.

    + Proven experience providing high level service

    + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as contracts, policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents

    + Ability to write effective reports and memos

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

    + At least 21 years of age

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Bachelor’s degree in Legal field preferred

    + Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

    + Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

    + Verify right to work in the United States

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
