Job Summary:
Marathon Petroleum Company LP has an opening for Site SAP Superuser in the Routine Maintenance Planning Department at its Anacortes, WA refinery. This position will report directly to the Planning Manager and is responsible for being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SAP Plant Maintenance (SAPPM) module and related work systems. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, developing and providing SAP-EAM S4 Hanna training to site personnel, lead the SAP user council and will be the site representative to the Corporate Site Coordinator and Master Data Coordinator, Maintenance Plan (PM) Coordinator, provide SAP-EAM S4 Hanna troubleshooting, problem solving, and coaching assistance to all site personnel as needed. This position also serves as the backup scheduler for Routine Maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Site SME for SAPPM module and must maintain strong working knowledge and understanding of all pertinent SAP modules.
+ Serves as the site SAP Coordinator
+ Creates and maintains standard SAP and other extraction and analysis tools the organization uses to generate reliability, maintenance, and cost reports and KPIs.
+ Uses the Corporate Firori Tiles (EAM Request Dashboard) to Global Layouts, Planner Groups, Maintenance Activity Types, Work Centers, Default Unloading Points and JiVS Access.
+ Develops SAP-EAM S4 Hanna training and maintains training documentation; trains and qualifies users for appropriate SAP access level and functionality.
+ Proactively monitors and reports on usage practices and issues, as well as mentors users.
+ Troubleshoots and reports system issues, implements fixes at the local level.
+ Works with Corporate SAP Coordinator to develop, test, or modify new or existing scripts and helps with testing of new processes and SAP transactions.
+ Proposes improvement ideas and initiatives identified by site to Corporate as well as requests enhancements to SAP.
+ Attends and participates in monthly Corporate SAP Coordinator meetings.
+ Serves as the site Master Data Coordinator
+ Ensures that the site’s SAP-EAM master data is maintained and accurate by keeping the configuration, taxonomy, equipment, and functional location data consistent with refinery policies, procedures, and engineering standards.
+ Develops and populates “load sheet” for new and/or existing equipment and coordinates using Evolve/Precisely Scripts.
+ Uses corporate Firori Tile (EAM Request Dashboard) to request new Manufacturers.
+ Attends and participates in monthly Corporate Master Data Coordinator meetings.
+ Serves as the site Maintenance Plan (PM) Coordinator
+ Reviews the PM plans developed by other Maintenance Department personnel for conformance to standardization guidelines established by corporate and local Maintenance & Reliability.
+ Creates, modifies, or deletes PMs in SAPPM.
+ Schedules PMs and reports on upcoming and overdue PMs.
+ Serves as the backup Scheduler for Routine Maintenance work.
+ Attends Scheduler meetings
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications.
+ High School Diploma or GED required with 5 years of relevant experience in the process industry (e.g., refining, midstream, petrochemical, or other heavy industry)
+ Minimum 5 years SAPPM module experience
+ Microsoft Suite with focus on Excel Proficiency
+ Ability to obtain TWIC Card
+ Travel Requirement: less than 5%
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree
+ Power BI knowledge and usage
+ Experience preparing and conducting end user training, formal or informal
+ In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures
+ Maintenance planning experience
+ Strong organizational and prioritization skills
+ Strong analytical and reasoning skills
+ Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and be a team player with a positive attitude
+ Aptitude for acquiring a thorough technical understanding of the relevant SAP configurations
